It's (Not) Normal
Hand carved/sculpted in wax and cast in white bronze, then inlaid with silver bezel-set stones (moonstone and garnet), which are riveted onto the main piece.
This piece is not for you. It's for me.
I created this piece in an attempt to physically work through a health problem that I dealt with for almost a year. As a person with a uterus, and adjoining organs, I bleed like many people similar to me. However, in 2017, I bled consistently for 9 months straight. While this may not seem like a big deal to some, it overtook my life. Along with bleeding came excruciating pain. So much so that I didn't want to move from bed. I sought professional help only to be told that everything is normal and that "it'll stop soon". It was not normal. Thankfully it has stopped--for now. This piece is not meant to make anyone uncomfortable or necessarily start up a discussion. This is not supposed to be a controversial piece. This is for me.
